“My crystal ball in regards to Brexit works no better than anyone else’s, but my guess is that not much will change. But what I do know is that UK companies are losing millions of pounds in potential R&D Tax Credit money by not recognising that they are doing R&D, not appreciating the full scope or just not knowing about the scheme. If you have not considered claiming R&D tax credits you should talk to an expert today.”

“Doing it yourself takes time – time that could be spent on other business growth related or profit generating activities and is often a false economy. Even though you know your business inside and out, we understand how to translate technical R&D activity into HMRC’s language and to spot the activity that might not seem to qualify. So why run the risk of making an incorrect claim or even the possibility of an HMRC enquiry?

Recent news, particularly the cyber-attack on the NHS systems has highlighted the need to keep all your systems up to date.

“Whilst businesses may have made an initial claim they do, however, often forget about the ongoing maintenance and continued security of their systems and especially the upgrades of interfaces between standardized systems, which often can also qualify for R&D tax relief. again highlighting the need for specialist consultants”

“There has never been a time when the need for more investment in UK businesses has been more critical. A long-term strategy to bolster total spend on R&D to 3% of GDP would send an important signal about the intention of UK businesses in a post-Brexit world, and help stimulate economic growth.

There is unquestionable evidence that:

  • innovation boosts productivity and attracts inward investment;
  • innovative companies are more likely to export;
  • businesses developing new products create more jobs and grow turnover more quickly than non-innovating firms;”

This year at RDS we were in a position to make Christmas that extra little bit more special for many children in care across Nottingham & Manchester.

Supporting Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions in Nottinghamshire with their yearly donation of toys to local children, we collected and delivered £1500 worth of a variety of toys for all ages to their offices. The toys will then be passed on to Father Christmas for delivery at a time of year when no child should be forgotten.

We are extremely proud of being able to support Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions in bringing a smile and making a real difference to many children who might not otherwise receive a gift this Christmas.

With a donation of 100 eggs from the Directors at RDS; Mark Joyner and Geoff Liberman are once again supporting children in care.

RDS have supported LexisNexis Risk Solutions and a number of other businesses to collect a total of 308 Easter eggs. The Easter Bunny will now hop along to Children’s Services on Station Street in Nottingham to deliver these and make sure Easter is filled with chocolate and sweet surprises.

We would like to also say thank you to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Sainsburys, Tesco’s, Wilko’s, The Kean’s Head, Spenbecks, The Hungry Pumpkin, and The Nottingham Doughnut Company. All your kind donations and support are and will be appreciated.

In December 2020 we were excited to be moving in to our brand new offices within the heart of Altrincham!

Due to substantial growth during the last 12 months, we have been investing heavily in expanding and developing our team, so as to offer a fantastic personal experience to all of our clients, and this has meant we have out-grown our current office.

Our new 2500sq ft space was completed late November 2020 just in time for our new team members to join us.

“Throughout 2021 we will be focusing on developing our in-house team of financial analysts (FA’s) & Business Development Managers (BDM’s).”

Although our offices are typically for our in-house team to work on our client’s R&D claims, if you wish to visit us to talk about your R&D claim in person then please let our team know & we would be delighted to arrange a meeting time.
